Hello!!
Elphaba is a 2-3 year old German Shepherd / Husky mix.
She is so friendly and loves everyone. She must give everyone kisses to show it. She will choose one person to follow around the most.
She loves to go exploring, walks / hikes are a must. And after every walk she will crash in bed for the next two days!
She knows ‘sit’ and we are working on ‘lay’.
She would do best with a homew that has another dog who likes to play or one that goes out for lots of walks or hikes.
From what I have seen from her experiences around kids she sees at my work and on walks, she would do phenomenal with them! Especially with how playful and energetic she is. She is so gentle when taking treats and when going to give kisses or when asking for pets.
She is nice to cats. Or tries to be! My cats have deemed her as moving too quick to really feel confident in interacting with her. She does want to be their friends though and she is adamant that chasing them will make them friends. We are working with her to stop chasing them.
She does have some minor separation anxiety. She won’t lay in her kennel peacefully unless someone is in the room with her.
She will squeeze her way out of a kennel at any given opportunity to be around people.
When she did squeeze out, she didn’t have any accidents and she doesn’t chew on anything other than her ball or her bones/treats!
She is incredibly intelligent and has already learned that it’s not okay to jump on people or the counter. And again, ‘down’/‘lay’ is a work in progress.
