Miss Jackie is a sweetheart who came to the village after being abandoned at a dog park. Jackie has been loving her foster home and really enjoys the company of other pups! She is fully potty trained, and her foster parents have only heard her bark once! (Because Scooby Doo barked on the TV!). Jackie is a little velcro dog. She will wake up from a dead sleep to follow you into a new room. She loves to cuddle you on the couch, or lay right behind your feet in the kitchen. Most of the time, she is never further than an arms distance away from her foster mom and dad.
She sleeps quietly in her kennel at night, and she runs and jumps in (because she always gets a treat or a bone)! During the day, while her foster mom works she is left alone freely. She loves chewing her toys, bones, and PB kongs. She already knew how to sit, but it took her a couple weeks to learn "lay down". She is extremely food motivated, and will heel perfectly on while walking on a leash for a couple pieces of food! (If you don't bring her food, she will pull a little, so she either wears a slip collar or nose lead.) She will try to jump on new friends, but only because she wants to lick their face. Her foster parents are working on breaking that habit as well. She loves playing tug-o-war with her 4 year old foster sister, and will even play with her 10 week old foster brother. She does need to be reminded that not everyone is as big as her, if you scold her, she will quietly lay down for a nap.
