Skippy is a sweet loving little boy looking for his forever home. He is a bout 7 and weighs about 10 lbs Skippy's previous owner loved him very much but recently moved into assisted living. Unfortunately, her family turned her dogs loose outside rather than surrender them to a rescue. Luckily several volunteers were able to find and rescue Skippy along with 2 other dogs.

Even though Skippy has been through so much in the last few weeks, he has quickly adapted and learned to trust his foster family. He is very affectionate and a shadow dog to his foster mom - he wants to be where ever she is. He loves to play with toys and play tug of war with the other small dogs in his foster home.

Skippy does have some separation anxiety and is used to being in a home where his people are home most of the day. He would do best with a family that works from home or doesn't leave him for long periods. He also gets along fine with other small dogs, not tested with large dogs or cats.

He is a little timid and take a while to warm up to new people. He initially prefers women over men and children but will warm up after a few days. He is house trained and crate trained. He is low energy and only needs short walks or time outside on a leash or fenced in yard.
